`Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.' (Prov. 22:6)
PURPOSE
PROGRAM PURPOSE
I Believe The Children Are Our Future will be providing our foster children and youth with
hands-on simulation which enables them to develop life skills and a foundation for making
intelligent personal finance decisions.
Further, it allows them to prioritize and develop a realistic
understanding of the economic issues they will face after aging-out of foster care. The
curriculum will focus on decisions about transportation, banking, housing, entertainment,
healthcare, utilities, food, home furnishings, clothing, and education.
I Believe The Children Are Our Future program curriculum works as an adjunct to the public
school system. It allows children and youth to experience activities that simulate the “normalcy”
experienced in two parent households which may provide opportunities for growth.
The entire staff will all work as a loving team to provide a stabilizing and nurturing environment
that promotes safety, well-being and a sense of belonging.
